Isabella Oliver: Stylin' Baby Bump

I have to admit something to you.

I purchased most of my maternity clothes at Target. I took a few trips to Pea in a Pod and Motherhood but their maternity clothes was so overpriced for the poor quality they offered that I didn't see the point of spending so much money.

But you want/need to look beautiful at your baby shower so I took to the internet (my faithful companion) to help me find something fabulous for me to wear.

Enter Isabella Oliver. I had seen one of their ads in Pregnancy magazine of a beautiful pregnant woman wearing a wrap tube top. I thought to myself "I want to look like that!"

Most recently, celebrities like Gwen Stefani, Alyson Hannigan (How I Met Your Mother, Buffy The Vampire Slayer), Angelina Jolie, and Kelly Rutherford (Gossip Girl) have worn Isabella Oliver's maternity clothes.

I ended up getting 2 tops from them, since I was having 2 baby showers. What I liked most was the possibility of wearing the tops AFTER I had the baby. I was a little nervous about ordering maternity clothes online (being shipped from the UK) but the offer free shipping on orders of $89 or more, their sizing chart was very accurate and I was able to speak with a customer rep within minutes.

I took a HUGE leap of faith and it was TOTALY worth it. I looked beautiful at my baby showers and last weekend I actually wore one of the tops to a birthday party (and I already lost my 40+ lbs. of baby weight)!

And did I mention they don't just sell maternity clothes?

  2. You're not hinting something to us though, right? You'd have to change your name to Sophia & ____'s Mom.

You're right though, those tops are really stylish. It doesn't hurt that you were one of those annoyingly cute pregnant women though, I don't think they'd have looked quite as good on me when I resembled a WHALE when I was pregnant both times.

  3. I am loving your blog!

Pretty much anybody who writes about hairy legs is a friend of mine ;) Meanwhile, I also loved these tops.

Looking forward to getting to know you. I came by way of the Top Mom bloggers link.

  6. OMG! How cute were you when you were preggers? I always felt like a whale, I have probably two pictures from BOTH pregnancies and that's it. I was a Pea in a Pod shopper at an OUTLET, that had like $85 pair of jeans for like 20 bucks. But this Isabella Oliver is rockin! Go you!
