ABOUT ME

Normally, one starts these with a name but I like to keep mine a secret.

I'm a twenty-something mom to a one-year old. I've been married for a little over 4 years and have been living in NY for about the same time. I recently received my undergraduate degree in Architecture from Columbia University.

I'm Sophia's Mom and this is my blog.

The Wannabe WAHM blog was created as a way to record my journey as I become an entrepreneur. I have always dreamt of being my own boss and doing something that I love and that provides income for my family. With the state of the economy being what it is, I cannot foresee a better time than now to get things going.

I am still in the process of sorting things out as far as starting my own business goes but this blog has given me the support system I needed: a community of mom bloggers in all walks of life surfing the web providing support to one another.

This blog has become so much more than just a record of my journey... It has become part of it!

Will you join my on my journey?

  1. Hi, I was wondering if you would help me out with a button for my wordpress blog. I have thesis up, and I just started blogging a few weeks ago. I love your blog, and I sent you a comment, but have not heard back from you. I think your work is really great!! Your diaper cakes are SO cute too! I really wish that I had a talent like yours so I can stay at home with my infant (11 week old) daughter. I added your button to my blog as a site that I enjoy, so hopefully it will bring you more traffic. Let me know if you can help. Talk soon. :)

  6. I wanted to contact you via email, but couldn't find your email address anywhere. It seems to be private, so I thought I would just contact you here. As far as potty training goes if she can say potty and is showing interest in sitting on her potty it never hurts to try. If you try and she wants nothing to do with it, just back off and try again when she is a little older. All of mine were trained by 2 1/2 years. The youngest to train was around 18months. Good luck! :)

  7. Thanks so much for the advice, Momma Such!
She is saying potty and she sits on her potty when we go to the bathroom.

    I think I'll give it a try =)

  8. Hi Sophia's Mom and all other wannabe wahm.I just want to say Hi to all and encourage all of you to follow your dreams to become a wahm. I have been one for over ten years, and it is so well worth it to be able to be at home with your kids. My advice to anyone wanting to stay at home is to prepare by taking classes, reading lots of books, no not romance novels, and work with what you have. What are you interested in or good at. Don't just answer and ad or come on and be sorry later. Ladies, we can make our lives what we want them to be, don't settle for less. I will comment more some other time. Have a wonderful day, stay warm. Grace
